Committee Meeting
The organizational meeting for
the Public Relations & Communications Committee was held Tuesday, April
1st, at 7 pm, in the community meeting room at Kroger in the Cofer Crossing
shopping mall. The committee nominated Keith Kozicki to chair the committee.
Tuesday, April 8th :: PPLUZ Committee
Meeting
The Proactive Planning, Land Use and Zoning Committee organizational meeting
will be held Tuesday, April 8, 7 pm, at the Healing Transitions Center, 5165
Lavista Road. TCA members who attend will nominate this year's committee chair.
Thursday, April 10th :: TCA Board Meeting
The TCA Board of Directors will meet from 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Thursday,
April 10th, in the Education Building of the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church,
4882 Lavista Road, Tucker (next to the Tucker Recreation Center). All TCA members
are invited to attend.
Monday, April 14th :: Membership Committee
Meeting
Becky Lancaster has scheduled the organizational
meeting of the Membership & Community Building Committee for 7:00 p.m.,
Monday, April 14th, at her house, 3977 Brockett Walk. TCA Members who attend
will nominate this year's chair.
TBA :: Public Safety Committee Meeting
Jane Tanner has agreed to convene the Public Safety Committee organizational
meeting. Jane made a great community splash in Tucker as the driving force behind
the effort to calm traffic on Chamblee-Tucker, particularly in the vicinity
of Livsey Elementary School. The date, time & location for this organizational
meeting will be announced soon.
Saturday, May 10th :: Tucker Day
TCA will host two booths at the
annual Tucker Day street fair. Further details are forthcoming.
Thursday, May 15th :: TCA Spring Membership
Meeting
TCA will hold its spring membership meeting Thursday, May 15, in the fellowship
hall at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 4882 Lavista Road. Please park in the
WEST parking lot, the one on the Henderson Road side. Please plan to arrive
by 6:45 pm, so we can get the meeting started right at 7.
We will begin with a 90-minute community update on a variety of issues, including
the new library, the new high school, township legislation, and Main Street
renovations. There will be an opportunity for Q & A.
At 8:30, we will begin the TCA business meeting, including an introduction to
the new Public Safety Committee and and explanation of our new greenspace &
parks initiative. We also intend to present a special award -- so special that
we can't really describe it at present.
TCA Board Of Directors Meeting Schedule for 2008-09
Unless otherwise announced, the TCA Board of Directors will meet from 7:00-9:00 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month. Locations TBD.
