Tucker Civic Association is seeking volunteers
to “Give An Hour” to help clean up the back patio at Fire
Station 5, at 4013 Lawrenceville Highway, on Saturday, Mar.
19, at 10 a.m.
Since March 2009, TCA has asked residents to “Give An Hour”
once a month for a worthy cause.
Fire Station 5 has served the Tucker community since opening
in the early 1950s. With about 21 firefighting personnel working
three shifts and equipped with a firetruck and a fire rescue
ambulance, the station runs approximately 2,500 calls per
year.
“The personnel at Fire Station 5 deserve our support,” said
TCA President Tom Lawrence. “The least we can do is spruce
up the patio and contribute some new patio furniture.”

The back patio is a small space that can accommodate a limited
number of workers. However, TCA is also asking residents to
donate $5 a piece to improve the space for our firefighters.
If enough TCA members and Tucker/Smoke Rise residents each
donate $5, the community will beautify the patio with new
plants and outdoor furniture.
Make your check payable to Tucker Civic Association and mail
it to Fire Station 5 Fund, P.O. Box 1916, Tucker GA 30085.
